For the Love & Honor of Friendship

Denise (left) and Nancy (right) knocking out all the ball parks in the US together

I’m honored to have had my life combine in the paths Denise Henning and Nancy Cline back in 1996. These two beautiful women came into my life when it had been completely destroyed by a plane crash that killed my parents and left me in the ICU for months in critical condition. At the young age of 21 I saw first hand what a real friendship could be after college … with kids… with careers… with everything life throws at you.
I can’t do any justice to the first half of this podcast in ways of introduction other than to ask you to please listen to Nancy’s laugh. Her warm laugh is symbolic of her loyalty, devotion and bravery she displays for those she loves. Even in my darkest of days her laugh and the comfort she and Denise brought to our family still brings a smile to my face nearly 22 years later. Please give it a listen… it might just be the most inspiring and heartwarming story you hear all year.

Thank you Jen Hatmaker for featuring them on your podcast!  I know many friendships will be strengthened from it. Click below to give it a listen:

About the Author
In 1995, Mercedes Ramirez Johnson narrowly survived a commercial airplane crash that killed 160 people, including her parents. As one of only four survivors of this tragedy, she vowed that she would make her second chance at life count…and that she has – not only for herself, but also for the tens of thousands of people who have heard her story and her message.
